Terms of Service

About these terms
These terms apply when you use any tool on lunebit.com, including the Logo Intro Maker, and when you buy a licence for one. "Lunebit", "we" and "us" mean the maker of these tools; "you" means the person or business using them. By using a tool, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the tools.
Buying a licence
Paid licences are sold through Polar, which acts as our merchant of record and reseller. That means Polar sells the licence to you, takes the payment, handles sales tax or VAT and sends your receipt. Polar's own terms also apply to the checkout.
Prices are one-time. There is no subscription and nothing renews. After checkout, your licence key arrives by email; you paste it into the tool on any device you use. There are no user accounts.
What your licence lets you do
- Free version: you may use the free version and the watermarked videos it makes in your own projects. Please leave the watermark in place.
- Personal: unlimited exports without a watermark, for your own projects. That includes monetised channels, your own business's videos, ads and social posts, and your own games, apps and software, for example as a start-up or splash screen.
- Pro: everything in Personal, plus a client-work licence. You may make intros for clients and deliver them as part of work you are paid for, and your client may use what you deliver to them, in videos or inside a game, app or other product.
A licence does not expire. Personal covers the looks available when you buy; Pro also covers look packs we add later. If you start with Personal, you can upgrade to Pro by paying the difference; the upgrade adds Pro to your Personal licence, so if that Personal licence is refunded, the upgrade ends with it. The built-in sounds are original. You may use them together with the intros you export under your licence, in the videos and products described above, for example as the sound of a game's start-up screen.
What the licence does not cover
- Reselling, renting, sublicensing or sharing the tool, your licence key or access to paid features.
- Redistributing the looks, presets or the tool's code, or packaging them (or blank, unbranded videos made with them) as templates or stock intros for other people to customise, in competition with the tool.
- Selling or giving away the built-in sounds on their own, for example as sound effects, sample packs or audio assets, or using them to train AI models.
- Trying to get around the licence check, the watermark or other limits of the free version.
Your logos and your videos
You are responsible for having the rights to every logo, name, image and tagline you put into a tool, and for how you use the videos you make. Do not use a logo you are not allowed to use. Your logo files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to us.
The videos you export are yours. We claim no ownership of them. The tools themselves, including their looks, code, sounds and the Lunebit name, remain ours; your licence gives you the right to use them as described above.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. The details are in our Refund Policy.
No warranty
We work hard to make the tools reliable, but they are provided "as is". We do not promise that they will work on every browser or device, run without interruption or errors, or suit a particular purpose. Please check your exported video before you publish it or deliver it to a client.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or a missed deadline. Our total liability to you for anything related to a tool is limited to the amount you paid for its licence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away consumer rights you have where you live.
Changes
We may improve or change the tools over time, and we may update these terms. The "last updated" date on this page shows when they last changed. Changes will not take away what a licence you have already bought includes. If you keep using a tool after a change, the updated terms apply to that use.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. This does not remove any protection you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
